Information about games and practice potentially
affected by the weather Up-to-date information should be available about whether games or practice sessions have been affected by the weather, by dialling the following number and listening to the pre-recorded message. The number is 07092024887. It may not be possible for the coach to contact everyone and if in doubt it is best to check, in order to avoid an unnecessary journey. Ignore the message you first hear about stating your name and wait for the recorded information from one of the coaches. |

Do you want to take a more active role in your
child's cricket? As you can imagine, we are constantly looking for parents to help contribute to the junior cricket at St Fagans. Many of the current coaches have got involved because they did not just want to sit in the bar while their child was out playing and this is the only way the current high standards of coaching can be maintained. Whether or not you have played cricket, we need your help. Potential coaches would need to take a basic coaching class lasting 3 or 4 weekends, so you wouldn't be left floundering. If you are interested, speak to one of the coaches listed above. |

Buying a cricket bat Most players will have their own cricket bat. It is important that it is the correct size, as too often we see children with bats that are too big and heavy for them. One that is a bit small is better than one that is too big. Click here for guidance. |
Under 13s playing in adult teams If your son (or daughter) is in the under 13 age-group and playing for a senior team, then we need a letter from parents confirming that they are happy for them to play. This needs to be sent to Simon Joseph, Chairman of the Selection committee. A template letter can be downloaded by clicking here. It has now been decreed by the ECB that any player in Year 7 or below (under 12 at midnight on 31st August in the year preceding the current season) cannot play in open age cricket with or without explicit written consent. |
