As part of
the new regulations of the South Wales Premier Cricket League,
we are required to register every club member who is likely to
play in the SWPCL for either our 1st or 2nd XIs.
The rules
covering this process are as follows:
- All
players likely to play in a Premier league match (either 1st
or 2nd XI) must complete a Player Registration form (click
here) and return it to me.
- As
club Secretary, I will check the forms are completed
correctly, counter-sign them and forward them onto the
League Secretary
- The
League Secretary will (hopefully!) approve each
registration. I will then add each player onto our
Play-Cricket website and the League will again (hopefully!)
approve the online registration.
- Only
after you have been registered with the League and on our
Play-Cricket website are you be eligible to play in the
SWPCL.
Two
things to note:
- The
forms need to be signed by both the player and myself, which
means you need to print out a copy of the attached form,
complete it and then send it to me. This cannot be done
electronically
- There
will be some latitude to allow non-registered players to
play in the SWCPL. For instance, if a player is injured or
drops out just before the start of a league fixture, we can
call up a colt or a 5th XI player to play who hasn't been
previously registered. Hopefully this won't happen, and if
we can register as many members as possible, the likelihood
of it occurring will be reduced.
My home
address for you to send your completed form to is:
Duncan Mackenzie

Obviously, your registration needs to be completed before May
1st if you want to be available for the start of the league
season. Assuming there will be a back log of registrations
that need to be completed close to that date, please get forms
back to me as soon as possible so we can ensure you are
registered in time.
IF YOU ARE
NOT REGISTERED, YOU CANNOT PLAY!!
If you
have any questions, please get hold of me at

Could you also pass onto anyone who may not be on this list
please. I will also post this message on our Website, our
Facebook page and our Play-Cricket website
Regards
Duncan.
