For your Information and Safety.
A taxi or cab is a type of public transport
licensed to transport a single passenger,
or small group of passengers, between
locations of their choice, typically for
a non-shared ride in return for
payment of a fare.
In most other modes of public transport,
the pick-up and drop-off locations are
determined by the service provider,
not by the passenger.
There are two different types of
licences for taxis,
"Hackney Carriage" and "Private Hire".
For the comfort of other passengers
both are subject to the current law
banning smoking on public transport.
