Coco
Coco is a 12hh 19 year old skewbald gelding. He is a fun little pony who loves to jump and do gymkhana games with a competent rider. On the other hand if you are just starting to ride he is very good on the lead rein and will give children lots of confidence.
Coco loves to hack and will go as fast as the rider wants to but can be cheeky in the field when there is grass to eat and won’t let you catch him! |

Bramble
Bramble is a 12hh 15 year old black gelding. Bramble comes across as a grumpy pony but is also a lovable and very reliable pony for both competent and novice riders.
Bramble is a great confidence giver for small beginner riders and loves to be jumped, hacked and is a very suitable lead rein pony.

Dougal
Dougal is a 11.1hh brown gelding. Known affectionately as ‘Dougie’ by the staff, Dougal is a loving, affectionate pony who, as a relative newcomer to the yard and is still finding his ‘hoofs.’
Dougie loves to be fussed and groomed and also enjoys his jumping. |

Ash
Ash is a 13.2h 11 year old Welsh Cob. He is used for RDA and able bodied riders alike.
Ash is a very kind, trustworthy pony who likes to rest in the middle of lessons sometimes for a long toilet break but can work in a beautiful outline when required to. He also loves hacking and jumping and is a real gentleman that will look after his riders. He is a really loveable, wonderful character.

Toby
Toby is a 14.2hh 9 year old black gelding. He has been with us since 2010 and has proved to be a sensible and reliable pony who enjoys both flatwork and jumping. Toby has a genuine character and has been used for the RDA as well as for riding school lessons and clinics. Recently Toby also competed at Dressage at the Garrison with our instructor Pernille winning his class!
Toby is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced riders and is equally happy to be working in the school, jumping or out hacking. He is good to handle and loves being groomed.

Daisy
Daisy is a 14hh 8 year old black mare. She has been with us since July 2010 and is proving to be popular with lots of riders.
Daisy is ideally suited to intermediate level riders, is a good jumper and enjoys hacking. She is also very easy to handle in the stable.

Chips
Chips is a 14hh 9 year old Dun Connemara pony. He is a fun chap to ride, enjoys his work and is enthusiastic about everything he does. Chips really enjoys his jumping and regularly competes in the show jumping competions we have here at the Garrison.
In the stable Chips does like his own space so a member of staff will assist you. |

Cognac
Cognac is a 14.1hh 19 year old bay gelding. Although in his late teens and having been at the Garrison Saddle Club for more than eight years, Cognac is still a willing pony and happily takes growing children and small adults.
Cognac has taught countless children and novice adults to canter and master the sitting trot as he helps the beginner stay in balance and the more experienced rider to learn circles and turns. For the advanced rider Cognac will produce lateral work and works in a nice outline. He jumps correctly when ridden forward and is a calm, yet responsive genuine pony who also does RDA. |

Tanzi
Tanzi is a 19 year old12.2hh chestnut mare. Tanzi is a placid pony whom countless children have started their riding careers on due to her sweet and steady nature…and all of them will tell you that her greatest love is food and the way to her heart is certainly through her stomach!
Tanzi is also a RDA pony who loves to hack and jump as well. |

Copper
Copper is a 16hh 8 year old Irish Sports horse chestnut gelding. He is a loveable character with enthusiasm when needed but one of our safest horses’ who will happily work in the school with novice riders but also jumps a course of fences with the more experienced rider.
Copper loves hacking, is a sensitive sole and enjoys gentle handling especially when grooming. |

Rolo
Rolo is a 15hh 8 year old Irish bay gelding. He has been with us for 3 years and has matured into a responsive, willing ride.
Rolo is ideal for intermediate and advanced riders who have an interest in dressage as he works well in a soft outline as well as possessing a good jump. He is good to handle and loves attention. |

Muffin
Muffin is a 16hh Hunter type bay mare. She is a gentle kind horse that loves human attention and is easy to handle on the floor and ridden.
Muffin is happy to look after riders that are new to riding and can perform correctly in an outline if asked. She is happy to jump a 2ft 6 course and loves hacking - a great all rounder.

Lewis
Lewis is a 16.3hh 10 year old Irish Sports horse gelding. Before coming to the Garrison, Lewis was a competition horse who successfully competed in Ireland and the UK at eventing and show jumping.
Lewis is a confidence giver for those who love to jump (but may be slightly nervous!) but will also jump a course of 4 foot fences for those who dare! Lewis works in a very correct outline, has established lateral work and is a very pleasant and safe hack. |

Brian
Brian is a 9 year old 17.3hh Irish bay gelding. Brian came to us about a year ago and has settled in well having a very willing temperament. He has been well schooled over fences and on the flat and executes leg yielding and shoulder-in with ease.
Brian is a welcome addition to our stable and will take a range of riders from complete beginners to advanced. He can also teach many riders to improve the detail of their riding he also works in a nice outline when asked. |
