My name is Mike.

I have been suffering with severe depression for many years now. As part of my recovery I have been attending a scheme called BUILD A BIKE.

I attend every week between 1.00pm and 4.30pm, I meet and socialize with new people, and this is helping me rebuild my self confidence and gives me a purpose to get out of bed.

The bikes are donated from different sources and are all in need of some kind of repair, when they are fixed you have the choice of buying one at a reasonable cost.

Since I first started going I have completely built bikes for myself and my son costing approx. £5.00 each. I have also worked on other bikes which are then sold to the public or passed to relevant charities.

I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and understanding.
