Volunteer Showcase

On the 19th March 2011 the University of Chester held a volunteer showcase and presentation evening to recognize and acknowledge the valuable work volunteers do for various organizations.

The event was held at the university and the Mayor and Mayoress of Chester were in attendance.

CHAPTER was just one of many organizations to attend, supported by volunteers to demonstrate volunteer involvement with photos and case studies and also to raise awareness of the benefits volunteering can offer.

We were entertained by a female singer and a large buffet was provided. The evening was a success and enjoyed by all.

The university kindly allowed the proceeds of the raffle to go to CHAPTER and more than £80 was raised. Prizes included a signed t shirt from Chester F.C., vouchers from George’s fish and chip bar, Binks café, George and Dragon, The Laugh Inn and Londis.

CHAPTER would like to thank all donors of raffle prizes and those who purchased tickets for their contributions, all of which contributed to a successful and enjoyable evening and boost to our funds.
