What is YAP?
The young adults programme has been designed to help young people break down barriers to education, training and employment. |
Who is it for?
The programme is designed to help young people aged between 16-25 who live in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston who have experienced or are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or any other mental health issues. |
How to get involved
A referral needs to be made via a GP, social worker or mental health worker. One of the young adult workers will then meet the young person to discuss what support can be offered and develop an individual programme to suit the needs of the young person and assist them in gaining education or employment
skills. |

Other information
CHAPTER run a gardening project which is for anyone who wants to go back to work or learn new skills. Due to popular demand there may be a waiting list for this. |
About CHAPTER
CHAPTER (West Cheshire Ltd.) is a local charity founded in 1991 with the purpose of helping people who have experienced mental health problems to enter employment, education and training. We currently help over a hundred people each year from a wide range of different backgrounds. |
About Young Adults Workers
Jayne works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-5pm. She is a qualified youth worker with experience in the community. |
