Jade
Jade was founded in 1992 by Victoria Worsley to bridge the gap between physical/visual theatre and new writing. It combines the inventiveness and theatricality of physical/visual work with the rigour, structure and depth of a written text. Jade works closely with artists from an early stage to create fresh, original and fully integrated theatre pieces. Victoria Worsley and Sarah Woods proved their strength as a collaborative team on Grace. Cake is another exciting departure for them. Cassowary, a co-production with Company F.Z, will be developed in 2005, ready for touring in Summer 2006. "Once in a blue moon you come across a piece of theatre that captures the moment in the way that television, films and pop music more commonly achieve. Grace is such a show."
