National Circus
Development Project
The National Circus Development Project was a pilot programme initiated by The Arts Council of England in response to the ACE Strategy and Report on Circus Arts. CB Projects was commissioned to assist seven artists and companies with their administrative and managerial development.
Circus Bites
As part of the project, Circus Bites, a showcase of work in development toured in England in October 2003. Circus Bites provided opportunities for four young companies to show their work to regional audiences.
The Future
The National Circus Development Project was a one year pilot programme. It is currently under review by Arts Council England to see how it can be developed over the next three years.
