I have worked in the arts in a range of contexts over the past 20 years:-
- Set painting and prop making for community theatre in East London,
- Involvement with numerous projects and groups on workshop and public art projects in Kent,
- and 3 exciting and inspiring months as expedition artist with Raleigh International in Alaska.
Now I'm busy with teaching and arts project work and settled in Gloucestershire.
I have exhibited paintings in London, Kent, Alaska, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
I am happy with a 10cm brush, water-based paint and a piece of 8 x 4 ply having work on many large scale public and community pieces.
I have scaled down with my own work, generally choosing to work in acrylic or watercolour on paper ( preferably hand made).
I like to experiment and mix colour and materials, and constantly to try new ways of working.
I am inspired by nature and drawn to wild places. More a way of working than a philosophy.... but I feel strongly that it is important to continue to work with organisations that support vulnerable planet and people in order to make a positive contribution
