Carolyn McDonald BSc, MPhil, PhD, MICR

Qualifications:

A first class honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh.

Postgraduate qualifications from the Department of Medicine at Edinburgh University 

• MPhil for work in gastrointestinal disease 

• PhD for an epidemiological study on the morbidity of long-term tamoxifen in breast cancer.

Prior to starting my own Company in 1998 I held technical, scientific and clinical research posts with:

• Scottish Blood Transfusion Service, Edinburgh
• Gastrointestinal Unit, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh
• Scottish Cancer Trials Office, University of Edinburgh
• Fermentech Medical Ltd, Edinburgh

Professional Activities:

I am currently a Member of the Institute of Clinical Research and the European Medical Writer's Association.
