Parents of children with Prader-Willi Syndrome are needed for a study that is investigating the effects of parenting stress on immune function.

What is the study about?
The aim of the proposed study aims to investigate, whether parents of children with intellectual disabilities have a poorer response to the influenza vaccination when compared to matched controls.

Why participate?
Your participation would help us to find out how caregiving factors (e.g. stress, caregiving burden, and support) affect individuals' bodily repsonse to vaccination since this knowledge mah impact upon parental health and medical practice. Further, you will receive the influenza vaccination for the forthcoming winter period free of charge. If caregivers are more susceptible to infection, as we predict, thaen extra protection afforded by the vaccination whould help reduce the risk of infection.
