Company Profile

Contract Dispute Resolution is the limited company of Simon Lee, a construction barrister, surveyor, adjudicator and mediator with more than fifteen years of specific experience in resolving construction disputes.

We provide specialist contract and commercial advice to the construction and associated industries, and legal advice and assistance on general commercial and contractual matters.

We are dedicated to achieving two goals:
  • quality of advice and service
  • cost-effective avoidance and resolution of disputes

We have wide experience of the ways in which the construction industry and the legal industry work, and we aim to cut through the time wasting and the costs escalation, to get to our Client's best outcome in the quickest and cheapest way possible.  Put simply, our aim is to avoid and resolve disputes, not create, escalate and cash in on disputes.

We have worked on projects ranging from the very large and famous - the CTRL, Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, the 02 Arena / Dome, the Second Severn Crossing, the Blackwall Tunnel - through many PFI projects - and individual schools, housing developments, offices and residential houses.  Our Clients include international corporations, national contractors and specialists, developers and industry professionals, local contractors and sole traders.

We have many years' experience in all types of building, engineering, and a wide range of associated industries, and in the various types of contracts used: the JCT family of building forms, the various ICE forms, the NEC suite, GC/Works, and FIDIC, as well as bespoke forms, and contract / project management.
