Black Lane Ends Skipton Od Road Colne Lancashire BB8 7EP Tel: 01282 863070 Licensee: Gary Schofield 'Black Lane Ends', or perhaps better known by its former title 'The Hare and Hounds', is very much a destination country pub with a strong following of locals and frequent visitors. It lies approximately 2 miles outside Colne on the Skipton Old Road. It sits at the top of a hill in the middle of a farming community and boasts fantastic views of the surrounding area. There is plenty of parking with a children’s play area and clean-up facilities for walkers. This pub is perhaps best known for its fine home cooked food, but is also popular for its warm and friendly atmosphere, made all the more inviting by its cosy log fires and traditional surroundings. You won’t find a juke box or fruit machine in Black Lane Ends, but you will find a warm welcome and of course, an excellent selection of Real Ales with guest ales as well as Copper Dragon. The wine selection has just been reviewed and extended to include something to suit everybody, and there is a good selection of hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks. The landlord of Black Lane Ends is Gary Schofield who some will know from the Masons Arms in Todmorden. Gary is very much a traditionalist who strongly believes in providing a quality service with the emphasis on making everyone feel welcome. It is important to Gary that everyone who steps through the door enjoys their visit, whether it’s for the excellent food, the fine real ales, or just a warm and a read of the papers by the fire.
