The landscape of Warwickshire can be divided up in many ways. It can be based on geology, geography, farming or building type. We have used a traditional split into Arden, Avon Valley and Feldon.
This is the area to the north and west of the valley of the river Avon. The picture is Daw Mill coal mine.
Avon Valley
This is the area around the river Avon which flows from the Rugby area through Stratford to the south-west corner of the county. It includes the main tributaries. The picture is Warwick Castle.
Feldon
This is the area to the south-east of the Avon valley.
The picture is the view from Edgehill.
