Our
Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday,
28th June 2008 in the countryside at the home of our
vice chairman, James Steele, at Bishops Farm, Oldberrow.
There were about 20 of us in attendance.
It
was reported that, unusually, the branch had made a
small surplus thanks to fundraising activities and donations
(Contact the office for
full details).
After
the business meeting our speaker was Malcolm Harbour,
Member of the European Parliament. He gave an interesting
and stimulating talk with particular reference to the
future of the rural economy and the impact of new technology.

meeting concluded with a very enjoyable and sociable
barbecue.
