Hedgerow Campaigns Leader

We urgently require a volunteer to organise the
Warwickshire Hedgerow Survey

Hedgerows are an integral part of the Warwickshire landscape. They have historic, cultural, wildlife, ecological and archaeological value. We need to know what is happening to our hedges. Hence the need for this post to organise and manage this important project.

Activities of this post include –

1. Priority for 2006 - To organise 10 to 15 sessions for groups of young people to visit specified places in the countryside to survey hedges. To liaise with youth and other organisations which may wish to participate. To arrange transport for volunteers.

2. To liaise with our partners, the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.
3. To recruit volunteers to survey hedges.
4. To select areas where hedgerows are to be surveyed.
5. To arrange training for groups of volunteers.
6. To collect data from surveys and send it to the warwickshire Wildlife Trust.

Our office is at the address below in Warwick.
There is plenty of support for this post but it is helpful if you have the drive and confidence to bring a number of threads together to complete projects.
