Aird House and Aird Steading Cottage are self catering holiday cottages situated three miles from the village of Ardfern, between Oban and Lochgilphead, Argyll amongst some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland.   These luxury self catering cottages are part of Aird Farm which is a traditional hill farm at the end of Craignish Peninsula with spectacular views to the Paps of Jura, with a view of the Straits of Corryvreckan the well known whirlpool between the islands of Jura and Scarba; and the mountains of Mull provide a magnificent backdrop to the islands of Luing and Lunga.   The cottages offer relaxation or a romantic break in a breathtaking area of the West coast of Argyll.

Aird Steading Cottage has been awarded 5 stars by Visitscotland, offering luxury, spacious accommodation for 2.   Aird House has a 4 star award from Visitscotland, and offers high quality, spacious accommodation for up to 6.  Both properties have their own enclosed gardens with panoramic sea views.   Aird House and Aird Steading Cottage are run by the Campbell family and on the farm itself there are many walks with breath-taking views of the Sound of Jura, Loch Craignish and Knapdale.  The glorious evening sunsets over the islands can be enjoyed from the lounges of both cottages.  Seals, dolphins and otters can often be seen playing in Loch Beag as well as buzzards, oystercatchers and many different species of birdlife.

The village of Ardfern has a village shop with a post office, Crafty Kitchen offering food and a craft area within it.  The local hotel, Galley of Lorne offers bar and evening meals in its restaurant. The local riding center, Ardfern Riding Center offers western riding, treking and lessons on their Appaloosa horses.

The standing stones of Mid Argyll are found within a short distance at Kilmartin Glen along with Kilmartin Museum.   Arduaine Gardens, boat trips from Ardfern and Craobh Haven Marina are all within easy reach of Aird.  Oban is 27miles with boat trips to islands of Mull, Tiree and Colonosay and Lochgilphead 21miles.
