The restoration of the shrine of St Thomas Cantilupe in Hereford Cathedral has been a unique experience for Brendon and Julie.
This three year project has been one of their largest commissions to date, with the shrine canopy, wall hangings and intercession boards. The bright colours and gold leaf have transformed the whole transept.
< This photo shows the shrine after the first phase of installing a new stone plinth around the base.

These photos show the shrine with the new embroidered canopy in the raised position, this is how it will look on feast days.
The brass and glass structure will house the holy relic of St Thomas Cantilupe

Either side of the shrine are two large embroidered panels depicting scenes from the life of St Thomas.
These have been a major part of our work and have taken over twelve months to complete.
The names of the various donors are embroidered into the designs, finding them however is quite a task.
