All the pages in this website are produced by visitors to the BBC Cumbria bus who have learnt how to create a webpage.

You can also have a go at creating a podcast, some digital art or a video.

For further information on computer courses around Cumbria, please contact the bus.

Podcasting

When the BBC bus visited Copeland Occupational and Social Centre in Cleator Moor, Jim and Pauline wanted to find out about podcasting and as a result created their own podcast.

Click here to listen to their podcast or download the audio file to your PC by right-clicking here and choosing Save Target As.

Visit the BBC Cumbria Bus pages for more information about the bus.

Interactive

We have some interactive online courses available to help you through the basics of computers and the Internet. Click here>>

Bus stuff

We have been on the road in Cumbria since May 2003.

We visit communities around the county, providing help on computers and information about computer courses.

We occasionally run 3 hour introductory courses

We can broadcast live from the bus.

You can have your photo taken and added to the website gallery and provide us with information about communities in Cumbria.

Want to have a go at creating a webpage? It can be about you or your community. Come and visit the bus...

Carlisle United FC family pages

A group of Carlisle United fans.
We offered workshops for Carlisle United fans. They came to the bus to have a go at sports commentary, use our digital camera to take their photos, edit them and create a simple webpage about themselves. See the results on the left hand side of this page.

"The bus is very good. Lots to do on the bus and good fun on the internet."
Lee Harrison from Mealsgate
You don't need to have created any webpages before - we're here to show you how to create a simple one to get you started. Having mastered the basics, you may then want to learn more skills in web design. We can give you information on where to go for that next step in your learning journey.
