After the success we had training service uses in sailing and gaining their Compitence Sailing Certificate, back in 2005, and part of our commitment to training and preparing individuals for employment, the Cyrenians are now actively involved with REVS - Retail Employment Volunteers Scheme. With funding available, the Cyrenians have entered into a partnership with All Points West Sailing School and have created the Cyrenians Sailing Club.

Nathan _ The Sailing Instructor

Below are some of images of the different groups who took advantage of Sailing Taster Days. This allowed us to see who would be most suitable to go on to be trained and gain their Sailing Competence Certificate later this year.

In September 2007, after spending five days and nights at sea on a sailing boat, John Butler, (above) completed his training and gained his Sailing Crew Competence Certifiage. The training along with two others, took him first to Lundy Island before sailing back to Tenby. They then returned to Swansea along the The Spectacular South Wales and Gower cost. It was a great experience, sailing in all, around 155 miles.
