Above: The Olga at her mooring outside Swansea Museum Prior to her restoration.
The Olga - a Pilot Cutter - was built in 1909 and worked the Bristol Channel out of Barry between 1909 and 1917. When she was sold to Swansea she was registered as a fishing boat for a year. She was then sold as a private yacht until purchased by the City and County of Swansea in 1984.
Here are a selection of this great boat prior to here restoration. All photos were taken by John J. Butler unless mentioned.
