Dales Broadcast are pleased to offer a choice of four Serial Digital Widescreen Outside Broadcast Units, SD1, SD2, HD3 & HD4.
HD4 is the latest mid range outside broadcast vehicle to be added to the Dales portfolio and represents a 4th generation of design and system integration. Designed to be equally versatile in either HD or SD it offers up to 12 Sony HDC1500 or BVPE30 cameras on fibre or triax and provides comprehensive broadcast facilities for live sport, music and other genres. Utilising the world class Kahuna switcher from Snell & Wilcox with its unique format fusion technology it provides up to 40 HD or SD inputs with instant up or down conversion.

Layout
Building on over twenty years outside broadcast experience, SD1 combines the very latest digital technology with a practical and comfortable working environment.
This custom built 8.5 metre unit offers a 24 channel mixer with up to ten cameras, eight digital VTRs, an optional EVS hard disk unit for slow motion and up to eight external sources. With extensive sound facilities, including sixteen track digital audio, SD1 is versatile enough to handle a host of different types of production. At the heart of SD1 is the Ethernet hub, which allows for networking of the vision mixer, graphics, switching matrix and under monitor displays allowing clients to customise the whole vehicle to their exact specification. The talkback system is also PC controlled so all programme setups can be stored and recalled as required.
SD1 is supplied with a unit manager and rigger drivers as standard. A full production crew can be provided according to production requirements.
HD3 packs large specifications and huge versitility into a 7.5ton Mercedes Vario chasis.
