Text Box: The aims of my school are to have fun and at the same time, train children to use their imagination, control their bodies and push themselves to achieve high esteem and self-confidence. Dance has long been recognised as an ideal method of learning and improving co-ordination as well as being an enjoyable way of addressing health and fitness issues.  Dance recently has become a more widely recognised qualification and the I.S.T.D. has spent considerable time ensuring that their syllabi are recognised by national awarding bodies.

Dance examinations of the R.A.D. and the I.S.T.D now offer NVQ status, and this is recognised all over the world.  Currently the government is highlighting the importance of exercise in the prevention of illness, heart disease and obesity— so now is an ideal time to start.

The school includes all generations, to come along and improve their fitness from 2yrs
Baby Ballet classes to my Take a Chair Class and Keep Fit 50’s + class, Adult Tap and 
Dance Aerobics 

 I  teach  Ballet, Jazz and Tap from Baby to Advanced 1 level, Adult Tap and Keep Fit

Assisting me with the Children’s & Major Ballet is Carol McKay A.I.S.T.D 
  For older girls Miss Carol;s  pointe work class on a Thursday .has been a great success this year

Natascha Galli teaches Childrens Hip Hop from 4yrs to Advanced  on a Wednesday

Welcome to the school is Martyn Hay our Musical Theatre teacher. We started last year with one class and because of it’s popularity we are now opening up a new class from 4yrs on a Thursday.

A big welcome to Leeanne Gilmour who teaches the Senior and Advanced girls Jazz, her classes are dynamic and full of energy perfect for the older girls of our school.

 Suzanne is now teaching the Dance-Aerobics and passed her Y.M.C.A. with flying colours congratulations. August Suzanne will be teaching the new Disco classes on a Saturday.

 

ABOUT THE CLASSES

The children's and adult classes are held  in the Main Studio pictured above.

 The room is light, spacious and airy and has a good floor

for dancing.
