“When
I trained as a commercial mediator in 1991 I knew
immediately that mediation was by far the best and most
sensible way of resolving disputes, so much so that I
ceased my Quantity Surveying practice in 1996, initially to
become a director of CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute
Resolution) and then, from 2001, to practise on my own as
MATA (Mediation and Training Alternatives). Throughout that
time I have trained mediators and also lawyers in how best
to use mediation and now, MATA’s most recent
development is in delivering our new Mediator Training
Course. I believe that the world of Mediation is a
life-long journey that should never stop. Every mediation I
facilitate and every course/seminar or workshop that I
deliver always adds to my personal learning experience as
well as coaching and mentoring others.”
I created MATA so that I could work in the arena that I am
passionate about and I look forward to welcoming you to my
learning community and working along side you, whichever of
the courses you decide to embark
upon.
