| DE Product Labels made a significant investment in 2008. |
Firstly by expanding in August by doubling our floor space
from 1,000 Sq/ft to 2,000 Sq/ft. Enabling us to concentrate on
work flow by allowing one unit to
be allocated for raw material storage
and printing press facilities |
The next step was enhancing our equipment to provide more advanced label printing by improving efficiency, consistency, higher quality at the same time being faster and wider than our existing machines. |
| Our second unit then provides a separate facility for solely finishing and warehousing of finished stock |
D E Product Labels achieved this by purchasing a new Focus Proflex 330 for narrow web flexographic label printing |
| This is currently running as a 5 colour press which can be set up as 5 colour water base or 3 colour water base and 2 U V. |
We can offer a wide range of converting as the press has three cutting stations and slitting unit to allow online back cutting, perfing, kiss cutting and cut through all in the one pass.
Competitive pricing is a must in this current climate and is achieved by faster running speeds now available with the advantage of 333mm wide rolls by 2,000 Metre lengths. |
To compliment the Focus Proflex we also purchased The Omega 330 which enables us when printing our self adhesive labels to pass the larger rolls through our finishing department where they can be inspected, slit and rewound to customers finished specifications. |
Due to higher expectations in consistent quality we
Have completely revamped our quality control and quality assurance system.
This was carried out by introducing job checklists which cover in detail all aspects of each individual job for every department. By incorporating the checklists with our existing job card system we cover each job from the initial customer proof and order through our proof reading, colour mix and match, barcode checking to complete the first off stage. |
| This provides the controlled quality standard which must be referred to throughout the job to monitor any deviation from the approved first off. Controlled documents follow the job from initial order to final despatch which allows complete trace ability for D E Product Labels and customers records. |
