Whitelee
Cottage is one of three cottages set in a rural location down a
quiet country lane having splendid panoramic views from the grounds of the
whole surrounding area with Riber Castle sitting on the horizon
overlooking Matlock.
Accessed from the same imposing arch and to
your left is the accommodation, and off the main entrance hall is the well
fitted and fully equipped kitchen. The hall leads through into a very
spacious lounge dining area - it
is possible for 10 people to dine together in this cottage. The stairs
from the hall lead to the two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the second
having two single beds. An occasional folding bed is available for use.
The bathroom consists of bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet.
Excellent walks exist in all directions from the property.
Gardens, grounds and sitting out areas are shared for both cottages.
It should be noted that Knabhall,
Whitelee and Stayley Cottage can be booked together – it is possible for up
to 10 guests to dine together in one of the cottages.
The recently renovated farm buildings are situated in an elevated
position, the buildings dating back some 200 years.
