This was our second trip of 2006 and we had assistance from our two youngest children, Robert and Rosemary.  Lucy stayed at home, revising for her A-Levels, but mainly because she couldn't get time off from her part-time job at Waitrose.  We travelled west from Stockton Top Marina on the Grand Union, turned up the North Stratford-upon-Avon Canal at Kingswood Junction, then into Birmingham via the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, heading for the Black Country Museum at Dudley.
