Dick Twinney has loved the Westcountry's wildlife and countryside for as long as he can remember. Originally from Devon, he has lived and worked in Cornwall for the last 38 years.

Although his paintings, prints and giftware have spread worldwide and many of the books he has illustrated are American, he still thinks of himself as a local artist, passionate about Cornwall and it's wildlife.

A real countryman, Dick always spends several hours each day in the 'field' walking with the family dogs over the moors, along the coast and through the local woods, observing wildlife in it's natural habitat and seeking inspiration for his paintings.

Dick publishes his own limited edition prints and is a member and supporter of the county's 'Made In Cornwall' scheme. His work appears frequently in Westcountry newspapers and magazines, especially The Western Morning News who show-cases his paintings each week as THE ART OF DICK TWINNEY, Click HERE for more.

He has illustrated or provided illustrations for over 25, Children’s, Wildlife and Natural History books for many international publishers including Readers Digest and has just completed another book of his own entitled 'From Hedgerow to High Tor', The Wildlife Diary of a Country Artist.

He is always happy to discuss his work and will accept commissions for countryside subjects.
