Birds Of Prey

Although Dick usually paints the animals and countryside around his Cornish home he makes an exception with birds of prey, a favourite subject, so he does occasionally portray different species from around the world.

Dick with his wife Ann have hand-raised and looked after many species of birds of prey over the years including kestrels, sparrowhawks, buzzards and on one occasion a peregrine falcon. From this close contact he has developed a great affinity for raptors and lists them amongst his favourite subjects to paint.
