About Us
It may come as a bit of a shock to find an authentic, sincere, acoustic recording studio in East London.
In a corner of the city better known for thieves, poverty and the occasional serial murder, anything as authentic and heartfelt as Dirty River Studios comes as a bit of an unexpected surprise.
Dirty River Studio is a unique recording facility based in North East London. We offer music production for bands, singers & songwriters from the initial demos through to the full blown album.
We focus on getting incredible results when recording acoustic performances & we are uniquely set up to specialise in recording an eclectic range of acoustic music from rock, folk, blues, alt.country & bluegrass to punk. We have been known to plug into the mains occasionally though, and have an impressive range of amps, guitars & some very unusual instruments to hand..
We are all about trying to do things a little differently to the usual recording studio. Creating the most intriguing and relaxed atmosphere you never knew existed. Bridging that gap between the home studio and Abbey Road. We are here to create high quality recordings for people who take their music seriously but cannot justify spending their life savings just yet.
Discretely located in Walthamstow - at the bottom of the M11, minutes away from the A406 and just at the end of the Victoria Line. We have even got secure off-road parking.
Acoustic music is our passion. We want to revolutionise the way people think about, experience, and relate to music. We are sincere, blunt and intent on achieving the best possible result for your project. Please call for further details on xxxxxx .

Who We Are
We're musicians ourselves & we understand just how expensive & important studio time is to any band or musician.
Richard is one of the finest blues guitarists in the South East. As well as performing with his own bands, the Blues Engine and the Blueye Jacks he hosts one of the country's outstanding Blues Jam Nights at the Essex Arms in Brentwood. Richard also runs the Acoustic Jam in the same venue. He appears regularly at the Bishops Blues Club & The Acoustic Club in Bishops Stortford.
Following various musical misadventures Chris now writes songs & manages London acoustic band Peppercornrent. He wrote & produced the 2006 album 'Cigarettes, Gin & Dead Dogs...' which is selling quite nicely on iTunes thank you very much ! Peppercornrent effortlessly wield such wildly changing influences from rock, folk, alt.country, bluegrass to punk. Theres a diverse blend of personalities which combine to forge an exciting band that can fill a stage - and often most of the venue as well. Peppercornrent are equally as happy sitting in the beer garden surrounded by glasses, playing truly acoustically, as they are filling some of the larger venues and festival stages.
