Optimeyes task lamp

Diverse have designed a wide range of optical instruments of ophthalmic use. These include standard professional instruments such as direct and indirect ophthamascopes and peripheral vision testing. In 2000 Diverse designed and patented the colour controllable task light destined to be used by dyslexics. This was shortly followed by the Read-Eye colour prescribing system, a design that was supported by UK Government. In 2004 the world wide rights to these instruments were acquired by Othorscopics Ltd (see www.orthoscopics.com), a company dedicated to the philosophy of colour prescribing.

Information about these products is made available here to show that Diverse has a continuing interest in this market.

Optimeyes task lamp

Optimeyes
The human visual system responds optimally with appropriate stimulation. This stimulation threshold varies between individuals and full spectral stimulation can cause problems. It is beneficial to modify the visual stimulus for some people by changing spectral distribution in a specific task, particluarly reading and writing.

Read-Eye prescribing system

Read-Eye
Read-Eye allows for the quantitative prescription of coloured lenses. The system assists in selecting the best tints and tint density and then simulates the effect so that the patient can experience and evaluate the colour tint at the time of testing.

Read-Eye uses custom algorithms that allow the optician to combine the Jordan eye tests with a colour selectable light source to rapidly generate the quantitative prescription of the tint. Ambient lighting is included in the subsequent filter determination process and even the effect of coatings on the lens can be built into the optimisation process
