Sunday's International
meeting was a feast of high-speed action with Europe's top riders
lapping the one and a quarter mile tortuous hillside circuit in
just two minutes.
The host Bridgnorth
club's two internationals John Price and Darren Dobson were in their
element on familiar territory and both added 30 points to their
125cc Euro championship tally.
British riders
had the fans cheering in all nine European championship clashes
and the first race set the standard, Brad O'Leary winning with Price
in a brilliant sixth and Dobson eighth.
Fellow Brit
Jamie Powell of Churchstoke scored well in overall sixth on the
day but O'Leary took overall third for a place on the podium, a
disappointing last race spoiling his chance of overall victory,
which went to Sven Wouters of Belgium.

Price and Dobson
finished well into the top half of the 36 strong field with equal
overall twelfth.
The pair now
have a very busy time ahead. They start the British championship
trail on Sunday at Cleobury Mortimer followed by the second round
a week later and they then make two trips to the continent representing
their country all in the space of five weeks.
The reigning
AMCA 250 champion Gary Davies of Westbury, near Shrewsbury, had
some fantastic dices in the Euro 250/750 series.
At the end of
the day after some of the most exciting high speed racing seen at
Aston Eyre Gary had split the dominating continental riders by taking
the runner-up podium spot between Swiss rider Patrick Kasper and
Anton Van der Wetering of Holland.
