Make the most of your digital camera and learn to use some of the great features of your camera to improve your photography.

You might have the latest compact or a SLR you have just taken out of the box, whatever the camera,  its what you do with it that counts!

Tom is a semi-professional photographer with a small studio in Wiltshire. He works mainly on landscapes, travel and wildlife photography but does get contracts for portraits and wedding to help pay the bills. His other job is teaching and he has a passion for both jobs. If you want to have a fun day out in stunning surroundings to help improve your photographic skills this day is for you.

If you are more than a beginner then look out for the next level of courses that are on their way.

 

 

  Beginners; digital photography:

 The  aims of the day: 

  • To have lots of fun
  • Learn how to use the other buttons on your camera
  • Explore how to  take close up,
  • Play with camera settings; the settings you need for great landscape photographs,
  • Know what to do and not to do when taking photos of people on holiday (travel photography)
  • Meet other people and learn from each other

 What to bring with you:

  • Your camera,
  • Loads of enthusiasm
  • Tons of smiles
  • Spare batteries
  • Spare cards
  • A card reader (if you have one)
  • A pen and a small note book
  • The instruction book for your camera (if you can remember where you put it)
  • Some rain ware (just in case!)
  • Shoes that cope with a walk in the woods
  • A tripod if you have one (even a mini one would be great)

On your application form can you say: 

  • which camera you use
  • how long you have been using it
  • can you transfer the photos from your camera to a computer (its fine if you cant we can help you with that too)
