Have you ever dreamt about flying a light aircraft?
If the answer is yes, an air experience with Devon & Somerset Flight Training is the perfect opportunity for this.
Even if it isn't yourself, an air experience gift voucher is the ideal present for birthdays, christmas or any occasion! Whether young or old, everybody would enjoy the chance to take control of a light aircraft. There is a choice of 2 or 4 seat aircraft giving you (and up to two friends/family in the 4 seater) the experience of a lifetime.
Your day will begin by joining us in the clubhouse for an introductory briefing with one of our licenced instructors involving a short talk on the basics of the aircraft and deciding where you want to go.
After the briefing you will be taken out to the aircraft where friends and family are welcome to join to catch those important photos! Your instructor will make sure you are strapped in securely and you are then ready to take to the skies. Depending on how long you flight lasts for, you will have chance to view the beauty of the Devon and Somerset countryside as well as the possibility of traveling to airfields further away. You will be offered the controls and will have the possibility of controlling the aircraft 90% of the time.
While you are up flying, any family or friends are welcome to stay in the clubhouse, go out onto the patio viewing area or have something to eat in the Dunkeswell Air Centre cafe next door to us.
Upon arriving back at the Dunkeswell Aerodrome, you will be presented with a certificate congratulating you on your new achievement. If you do decide to carry out your full licence, the time spent on this flight would count towards the hours required for the issue of a Private Pilots Licence. You can now have your flight recorded on DVD providing you with a permanent record of your experience. Your whole flight including Take Off and Landing will be recorded using a camera mounted on the wing, as shown below. The video will be edited and posted to you on a professionally printed DVD.
Flights can last from 30 minutes up to 90 minutes with the latter including a landing at a different airfield.

Please be advised that vouchers are non-refundable but they are transferable which means that anybody can use it.
