New Airfield Restaurant. The Aviator coffee bar and restaurant is under NEW MANAGEMENT and is now open. Formerly known as the Dunkeswell Air Centre, The Aviator has a substantial re-fit and re-model. The Aviator is split into a coffee bar and a restaurant. The Coffee Bar, an aviation-themed Costa Coffee-style coffee bar and take away.
Comfortable fine dining with good service is our aim. Many of our dishes will be our interpretation of a variety of traditional dishes. We can cater for weddings, functions and Christmas parties.
Members of the Flying School, SkyDive Centre and businesses on the airfield will be given a discount loyalty card.
We look forward to seeing you there and hope to satisfy your culinary expectations
2012 - Tailwheel conversion from £825. The Citabria is available for tailwheel conversions. On average, students take 5 hours to complete and upon completion, the Citabria is available for PPL hire.
2012 - ATC Visit. We are looking to plan a visit to a local control tower, possibly Bristol over the next coming months. More details will be announced soon but you can phone/email to put your name down now as places will be limited.

Apologies to anybody we have missed off the congratulations list.
It is planned to start the Thursday Fly Out again from 1st March, so if any newly qualified PPL, student or experienced PPL who would like to participate in these or those of you with your own aircraft would be willing to take other PPL members with you when you fly and introduce them to flying further afield to new destinations.
If you would like to participate then we shall meet at the flying club from 13:00 for departure at the below times, please let us know.

Several members have got together over the past year and have so far ventured away to destinations like Shobdon, Oaksey Park, Popham, Shoreham, White Waltham, Andrewsfield, Biggin Hill, Cherbourg, Guernsey, Gloucester, Bembridge, Mona, Filton and not to forget the old favorites of Compton Abbas, Eaglescott and Perrenporth, to name but a few.
With the 2012 fly out season soon approaching, lets stick some more pins on the map and explore some more airfields, don't forget to use those free landing fee vouchers in the aviation magazines.
