A Little Bit About Them

Sam,

I found an old Diana model 15 in my grandparents attic when I was a lot younger, this started my interest, to cut a long story short, I went from Gamo, Logun to getting a full blown FT Anschutz from Dave Wellham.

I initially thought  that one had to shoot 40 standing shots and decide I could not do that with this rifle, so I advertised it on BBS. Steve H came around and bought it and it was then I learnt the true meaning of FT.

I along with Carl and 2 others in the camp we trained as club instructors.

I am still trying to read the wind.

The Chairman

Carl says

“I  have been shooting Field Target for over five years and have  been an active member of TAWD VALE FT & ARC since becoming a member in 2004.

I am new to the position of NWFTA treasurer taking up the post Nov 2008.

Carl, also says he will endeavour to encourage the sport of Field Target shooting in the region and  hopefully grow the North West Membership. Encouraging new members and supporting youngsters and clubs in the region.

( BFTA Instructor) for 4 years.

Paul Says,

I have been shooting FT for around three years, My First competition shoot was at Rivi charity shoot, first pcp was a Daystate PH6 in .22 then got hooked on FT I bought a Daystate Mk3 FTR, current FT rig is Daystate GP with Nikko Diamond. Quite fancy a Feinwerkbau P70 FT rifle. I went to Italy in September 2010 for the world FT champs.

Also fancy having a go at piston FT with my TX200 hc in a GINB stock, going to have a bash at competitive pistol shooting in the future.

Paul , Now organises the dates for the North West Field Target shoots.

Competition  Secretary

Stuart ,

I joined my local air gun club almost 6 years ago because my 14 year old son kept saying he was bored and had nothing to do.

I still had an air rifle which I had purchased almost 30 years ago and thought I could compete against my son on equal terms.

From there we both become involved in FT competitions and later I joined the NWFTA committee.”

Stuart attends most of the national meetings on behalf of the NWFTA.
