SO WHAT CAN WE DO…?
We are stuck. We need donations, funds, volunteers and a big miracle!

If you feel you can help in any way, we really REALLY NEED YOU -
please try and find
anyway to fundraise
whilst the Committee carries on writing as many funding letters as
possible. We are awaiting news from Children-in-Need at the beginning of April and are
trying once again with the Big Lottery. However there are lots of charities all going for the same pots of money and it seems that many charities are struggling.

Here are some fundraising ways in which you can help us to carry on:

  1. Sponsored activities: walks, swim, cycle rides, slim(!), giving up smoking, you could even join in any local organised events and give your sponsorship to DC.
  2. Car Boot Sale
  3. Coffee mornings
  4. Jumble sales
  5. Approach your employer, local companies or any other charitable organization you are aware of. We have a 'begging letter' already written if you can think of any companies worth approaching.

Our biggest blow is most probably having to lose Jim at the end of April. We literally do not have the funds to keep him on. Thus we will need to find volunteers to be present at the weekly Computer and Drama Clubs and monthly Youth Club and Adult Support meetings. If, on April 11th, Children in Need say yes to our bid, we will have him back in an instant!

Hence, the future is bleak but we are hoping that our members will be able to rally round and keep the charity thriving. We are still greatly indebted to Grant Aid who give us money
quarterly but this only covers a small proportion of what needs to be spent each quarter.

Remember we need your support.
Please send all donations to 21 Birchdale Avenue,
Hucknall, Nottingham, NG15 6DL
. Please send ideas, offers of support and ways in which you will be able to volunteer to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/DyspraxiaConnexion/

Unfortunately there may not be anyone to answer your call if you try and ring the office.

DYSPRAXIA CONNEXION CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT YOU.
PLEASE ACT NOW!

With thanks, the DC Committee
