The Dyspraxia Foundation is another useful organisation dedicated to understanding the condition as well providing professional conferences, local county co-ordinators, newsletters and more.. Dyspraxia Connexion was formerly the Nottinghamshire branch of the Dyspraxia Foundation and as such we maintain close links and friendship with this excellent organisation!
Provides advice, information and support to parents of children with special education needs including a volunteer scheme. They cover Nottinghamshire and the City. There is also a mailing list for parents to receive regular information as well as a telephone help line: 0115 9482888 staffed Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Low Mill Outdoor Centre, a converted water mill, is beautifully situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It was opened in 1976 to run activity courses for groups of young people of all ages and in 1981, a Wing was added, taking the capacity of the centre to 40 persons.
