There are no specific skills requirements for volunteers, other than basic numeracy for any volunteer dealing with money. We aim to provide you the training you need to do your job.

Read the Volunteers Newsletter - Click HereHow much time do I need?

Different levels of volunteering need different amounts of time. We will try and help you work out the role that best fits the amount of time you have. What we do ask is that you do turn up when you say you will, or give us as much notice as possible if something has happened to stop you being able to volunteer for us at that time.

What roles are there?

Collectors: staffing the collection points and dealing with members and possible members.

Administration workers: assist in the Credit Union office to make sure the Credit Union runs smoothly for its members.

Board of Directors: make decisions on how the Credit Union will be run (within the rules and regulations of Credit Unions). There are a variety of different roles available within the Board of Directors.

Credit Committee: make sure that the Credit Union is making best use of members money.

Supervisory Committee: make sure the members interests are being looked after. This includes making sure the Credit Union is run within the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Credit Union.
