Public Licence

1.

You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of the Folk Dance Database source files as you receive them, in any medium, provided that you conspicuously and appropriately publish on each file a valid copyright notice such as "Copyright © 1989-1999 Rhodri M. Davies", containing the year of the last change and the name of the copyright holder for the file in question; keep intact the notices on all the files that refer to this Licence Agreement and to the absence of any warranty; and give any other recipients of the Folk Dance Database a copy of this Licence Agreement along with the files.

You may modify your copy or copies of the Folk Dance Database source files or any portion of it, and copy and distribute such modifications under the terms of paragraph 1 above, provided that you also do the following:

(a)

cause the modified files to carry prominent notices stating who last changed such files and the date of any change; and

(b)

cause the whole of any work that you distribute or publish, that in the whole or in part contains or is a derivative of the Folk Dance Database or any part thereof, to be freely distributed and licensed to all third parties on terms identical to those contained in this Licence Agreement (except that you may choose to grant more extensive warranty protection to third parties, at your option).

You may copy and distribute the Folk Dance Database or any part of it in compiled or image format under the terms of 1 and 2 above, provided that you do the following:

(a)

cause each such copy of the Folk Dance Database to be accompanied by the corresponding machine-readable source code; or

(b)

cause each such copy of the Folk Dance Database to be accompanied by a written offer, with no time limit, to give any third party free (except for a nominal shipping charge) machine readable copy of the corresponding source code; or

(c)

in the case of a recipient of the Folk Dance Database in compiled or image format (without corresponding source files) you shall cause copies you distribute to be accompanied by a copy of the written offer of source files which you received along with the copy of the Folk Dance Database.

You may produce, copy and distribute printed copies of the Folk Dance Database or any part thereof, provided that you include copies of the sections of this document headed Distribution and Public Licence, together with a valid copyright notice as described in section 1 of this licence.

You may produce, copy and distribute printed copies of a modified version of the Folk Dance Database under the terms of 4 above, provided that you include the notices of modification described in section 2(a) and meet the requirements of 2(b) of this licence.

You may not copy, sublicence, distribute or transfer the Folk Dance Database except as expressly provided under this Licence Agreement. Any attempt otherwise to copy, sublicence, distribute or transfer the Folk Dance Database is void and your rights to use the Folk Dance Database under this licence agreement shall be automatically terminated. However, parties who have received the Folk Dance Database from you will not have their licence terminated so long as such parties remain in full compliance.
