The town of Eye is situated in north Suffolk, approximately 2 miles off the main A140 Norwich to Ipswich road. The town is approached from the north via the B1077 and via the B1117 from the south - both clearly signposted.
Parking in Eye is FREE. There are two car parks which between them provide about 100 spaces, whilst in the centre there are approximately 20 off-street parking spaces.
Our shop is in Broad Street, opposite the Post Office, 'Handyman' hardware store and Co-op mini-supermarket. For a map of the town centre please click here or the button below.
The town of Eye is unusually small, having more the ambience of a large village. On a quiet day such as Tuesday (early closing) there's a distinct feeling that time has passed it by. Whilst most of the buildings appear Georgian and Victorian in date, these are often re-fronted timber-framed houses. The town boasts the remains of a medieval motte-and-bailey castle and a parish church which is regarded as one of the finest in the county. In addition to the 'usual' shops (chemist, newsagent etc) there is a small but interesting range of retailers including three antique shops, two butchers, a bakery, deli, gift shop, several restaurants and a pub - plus us of course!
