About Us

Fame Performing Arts is an independent Performing Arts School based in Shirley in the West Midlands
We provide professional training in performing arts for young people aged 4 to 17.

Our aim is to teach performing arts i.e. drama, dance and singing to children in a friendly and enjoyable environment whilst giving them a chance to do regular performances on stage. Whether your child is hoping to pursue a career in performing arts or have a hobby & enjoyable weekend pursuit Fame will provide an excellent all round training.

Our teachers are professionals, having studied their art they are working actors, singers or dancers. They are experienced teachers and fully qualified in their field. We only employ individuals who are CRB checked. There is a trained first-aider on the premises.

We hold weekly classes in drama, dance and singing every Saturday during term time.  Our classes are fun, will help to develop your child’s imagination and build their confidence. And everyone knows confidence is a very useful thing to have in life!

Each term a show is performed to family and friends, we perform at different venues and regularly in a fully equipped theatre so students can experience the thrill of performing under the spotlight and parents can actually see what their children have been doing throughout the term.

We award medals and trophies at the end of each term for long standing achievement. There are also opportunities to audition for professional shows and tv programmes. Our students have auditioned for West End productions of Billy Elliot, Les Miserables, The Sound of Music & Oliver. We have also taken part in the ‘BBC Comic Relief does Glee Club’, ‘Copycats’, ‘Hannah Montana Special’ and ‘Are you smarter than a 10 year old?’.

Some of our students have filmed a childrens tv pilot called ‘Spooked ‘and also dancers took part in a professional pantomime for many years at the Palace Theatre in Redditch.
