Aircraft Hire

Self hire of the club aircraft is available to members of The Frank Morgan School of Flying Club. The charges are incurred per hour engine running time (i.e. from start up to shut down). Fuel, taxes are included in the cost. All flights whether dual or solo, undertaken by students or by qualified pilots who are not currently valid are charged at the dual rate.

Day Hire

All of the school aircraft may be hired on a daily basis, with charges being based on engine hours. Fuel uplifted away from base will be refunded at the rate current at Humberside on submission of the original Load sheet/Receipt. Excellent hourly rate, no minimum hire period, reduced rates for more lengthy excursions may be negotiated with the Chief Flying Instructor at the school.

All aircraft day hire is at the discretion of the Chief Flying Instructor.

Duties of the Pilot

Whilst in command, the pilot must exercise a duty of care at all times. The hirer is to ensure that the aircraft is operated in accordance with the 'Pilots Order Book', the 'Aircraft Operating Manual', normal aviation practice and the law. The hirer is responsible for parking and tethering the aircraft securely and so that damage will not be incurred. Should the aircraft incur damage, the hirer will be fully responsible for uninsured losses, whether during flight or otherwise, until the aircraft is returned to the school. If the aircraft is returned to the school at a time when the school is not attended it remains the responsibility of the hirer to make sure that the aircraft is parked and secured as mentioned above.
