William Crump was the head gardener at Madresfield Court
He was one of only seven winners of the Royal Horticulteral Gold Medal issued for Queen Victoria’s Jubilee in 1897 for his work in the reconstruction of Madresfield Court gardens
He was formerly empoyed at Blenheim Palace,
He added the rock garden, desined and built by Pulham from his patemt artificial rocks.
He added a moat, waterfal andl rose garden
He devloped the Madresfiedl Grape, and the William Crump Apple
