Forthcoming Events

Social Saturdays

Saturday 8th, 15th & 22nd October

We are doing a trial of 3 weeks in the Frost Hall of social Saturday nights.  The hall will be open from for people of all ages to come along and meet up with friends or maybe make new ones.

As these first 3 weeks are a bit of an experiment we are not sure exactly what will be happening each week but could include things like; playing pool, cards and other games; watching TV or playing the Wii on a big screen.  We could also play bingo or do fun family type quizzes.  There will be no charge to come to these events and for most activities there will also be no charge.  (There maybe a small charge for things like bingo to create a prize fund)  Our licensed bar will be open for refreshments during the evening, for this reason all children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

These 3 weeks are to see what kind of response we get, it is up to you to come along and tell us of the type of things you would like to see happen.

If they are not well attended they will not be repeated after these 3 weeks.

Frost Hall Newsletter April 2011.

Dear User group

The AGM this year will be on 9th May 2011 starting at , everybody is welcome to attend the AGM especially people who use the hall. This is your opportunity to give your points of view and get involved with the running of the Frost Hall. User groups have the opportunity to propose someone from their group to join the Frost Hall committee. This person then represents your group at committee meetings, they also get involved with the running of the hall. The more successful the management committee is the lower our hire rate is for community groups

We would like to remind all user groups that all sessions must be paid for whether you use them or not. You get 2 free cancellations per year, we also do not charge for bank holidays (if you chose not to use the hall) and also the period 23rd December – 2nd January. If your group only meets during term-time you are not charged for school holidays.

The hall is not available on Thursday 5th May (all day) is not available to all user groups due to elections taking place. If you normally meet on this day you will have your following session free of charge.

If you do not need an invoice please pay at the end of each half-term (if you are a term time only group) or the end of each and every month. For those who require an invoice I will do my best to remember to do them at the end of the months or half-terms. In all cases receipts are available. If you are paying cash please give it to me in person, cheques can be put though my door.

As most days we have more than 2 different groups using the hall sometimes it is as many as 6, all groups need to make sure that they have put away any of their own equipment. Wiped any tables and chairs used, cleared up any spills. Check the toilets are flushed/clean and the taps are off. Check all doors and windows are secure and lights turned off. If there is another group straight after you still please check things like the toilets, doors and windows etc. The hall is normally cleaned once a day, but not at the same time everyday so we all need to make sure it is left as clean as possible for the next hire.

We are also trying to improve our web-site and would like to include details on it of all the community groups that use the hall. We will be putting basic details of all the user groups on to the site. If you would like to have more than just time and contact details of your group on the site, please email me what you would like put on.

If you collect a key from me and I am not there or there is an emergency during your hire please contact;
