CODRUS Gasmasks (NBC Respirators)

What is an acceptable level of respiratory protection against Biological weapons, chemical weapons and fallout ?.There is only one answer : get the highest level of protection you can. CODRUS respirators comply with the highest EN136 Class 3 protection and are specifically selected to be the best available. We won't sell anything of a lower level of protection. Our mask is the Promask, manufactured under licence in the UK in an  ISO 9000 approved factory. It is the Law enforcement / Emergency Services version of the award winning M95 military mask, commonly accepted to be the finest military gasmask in production. The manufacturer is the sole approved supplier of these products to British Nuclear Fuels at Sellafield and is in wide use by emergency services and law enforcement agencies around the world.  The mask complies with EN136 Class 3, CE 0121. Because it is derived from a military design, you know you can rely on it to do a good job when dealing with Chemical and Biological weapons. It is even takes filters of the NATO DIN standard.

Our ABEK2P3 canister filter is the Pro2000 designed specifically for the Promask. It contains (in addition to the other filter elements) a healthy 120 grams of activated carbon, which gives an absorbent area of 144,000 M2 (equivalent to 18 Football Stadiums!). CODRUS masks all come with ABEK2P3 canister filters, providing an excellent level of protection (see FAQs). The filter uses the NATO standard 40mm DIN thread fitting, which means it can also be fitted to the British Army issued AVON S-6 and S-10 gas masks.

Being lightweight and fitted with adjustable head-straps, CODRUS respirators are comfortable to wear for extended periods and give a good air-tight seal. A wide field of view allows the user to undertake tasks which would be more difficult in more restrictive military masks. The large visor also allows for easy recognition of team members (also difficult in military masks). This is helped by the transparent inner mask which is made from non-allergenic silicone - specially chosen for it's chemical resistance and user comfort. Soft silicone inner mask eliminates the feeling of contact with the skin. This inner mask also allows the air to circulate behind the visor to stop it from misting up.

The CODRUS respirator is  non-aggressive in appearance which means it is more suitable than threatening military designs when dealing with worried civilians or the injured. For emergency teams it can be crucial to display a friendly, caring face to calm panicking civilians and reassure the injured. The large visor allows facial expressions to be clearly seen, unlike restrictive military designs which only show the eyes. In civilian use, the user is less likely to be mistaken for an aggressor.
