Protective Suits The CODRUS Protective suits provide increased levels of protection against airborne contaminants and chemical splash. The special material provides increased dermal protection against those contaminants that provide risk through the skin, such as Anthrax Spores, Nerve Gas, Mustard Gas and Fallout from Dirty Bombs. The suits are designed for easy decontamination and are used extensively by emergency services the world over. It is manufactured by leading chemicals company, Dupont. The suit is finished in grey and manufactured from Protech plus Tyvek-F, laminated with a polymer coating. This material is 100% particle tight, and protects against a wide range of organic and inorganic chemicals, and resists liquid splashes up to pressures of 5 bar. The material is exceptionally strong yet lightweight, thus comfortable to wear. These suits are CE Category 111 certified to Types 3 (Liquid tight), 4 (Spray tight), 5 (particle tight) and 6 (limited splash tight). The seams are 100% tight (stitched and overtaped seams) and have the same chemical resistance as the material (double self adhesive zipper flap and a self adhesive chin flap gives the best elasticated facial opening. The suits are intended for use with CODRUS respirator sets (gas mask & filter). In use, chemical resistant gauntlets (long gloves) and boots (wellingtons) should also be worn and care given to ensuring a good seal between suit and glove / boot. CODRUS do not sell gloves or boots as these items are readily available throughout the country. Children's sizes are not available.
