Gareth:

I've been leading church youth groups for six years, the last two of them with Sanctum Youth. I'm a Clay Cross local and was inspired to work with youth through my own experience as a youth at Holmgate Church. In the youth group there we were lead by some dynamic people who still managed to be "real" and approachable. This is what I strive to do in my connections with young people- although I'm serious about my faith, I never take myself too seriously! In my day job I am software engineer, specialising in vision systems (helping computers to see), and I work from my home in Old Tupton. I'm married to Kat and have two girls, Libby, 4 and Millie, 2. I enjoy playing the guitar and bass, reading about and collecting the latest gadgets and technology, camping and spending time with friends and family.

Miriam:

Hey I'm Miriam, I'm 24yrs old but look and act like one of the youth haha.. I did a DTS (discipleship training school) at YWAM, MT in 2005/06. It was awesome!! My outreach team got to spend 2 months in Thailand, where we mostly did manual labour for the Tsunami disaster and for an aids orphanage, it was fantastic! Jesus rocks! In Jan '07 I attended the University of the Nations... doing Photography School in Hawaii, where I am heading for another course this summer :) I was born in West middle-sex, England, grew up in Wales and spent 4 yrs in Montana where I finished High School. Now my home is Nottinghamshire or Chesterfield, England... when I'm in the UK that is :) (So I have a pretty messed up accent heh) I am currently co-leading a youth group after church with 2 most amazing people.. the kids are freaking awesome and I love Sanctum loads!! God is soo good!! I love to have fun and do spontaneous things with my friends... esp. if it involves the outside.. and I absolutely love to worship.. singing and dancing :)
