The genuine British pre-decimal coins on the front of these Golf Birthday Cards show the year the birthday person was born.
Subject to the birth year, the coin will be a sixpence, silver threepence or farthing:
- sixpence coins for a 40th to 49th, 51st to 54th & 56th to 60th birthday;
- silver threepence or farthing coin for a 55th birthday & 61st to 97th birthday.
If the golf birthday card is for an 18th birthday, the coin will be a 1918 silver threepence. If the golf birthday card is for a 21st birthday, the coin will be a 1921 silver threepence. For other birthdays, we will select a 'birdie' farthing (the farthing shows a 'Jenny Wren' bird).
Let us know the birthday person's name and age so that we can print their name and 'Happy _ _ Birthday' on the front of the Golf Card. The card example below is a 60th birthday card for Dad with a farthing.
We will print your personal greetings message in a gold-coloured script font on the inner leaves of the card.
